Human and Social Services

Procter R. Hug High School’s (PRHHS) Human & Social Services CTE program empowers students who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Through engaging, hands-on coursework and real-world learning experiences, students explore careers focused on supporting individuals, strengthening families, and building healthier communities.

Throughout the program, students develop essential skills in communication, leadership, collaboration, and advocacy. Classroom learning is paired with practical applications that help students understand the impact of social services in areas such as counseling, social work, education, and community outreach. By examining real-life scenarios and participating in interactive projects, students gain both the knowledge and confidence needed to pursue helping professions.

The Human & Social Services program reflects PRHHS’s commitment to preparing students not only for college and careers, but also for roles as compassionate leaders and engaged community members.
